Hampton Grange, Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD), Hospital in Hereford. Patients were generally those less seriously wounded but in need of a period of convalescence.
Return to Regiment - Draft of men left Oswestry Camp (3rd Battalion Herefordshire Regiment) on Friday 21st April 1916 to return to the Herefordshire 1st/1st Regiment in Egypt. Under the command of Lieutenant C.D.G.Pilkington. From the Hereford Times of Saturday 29th April 1916
13th May arrive back in Regiment at Wdia Natrum Camp, Egypt
29th May Regiment transferred to Zeitoun Camp, Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt
